Sheffield steel made in China and delivered via Japan? Unsustainable.
Practical side of order and delivery was all good. The problem was that I had not realized that the Sheffield stainless steel cutlery would be made in, well, China, and I think delivered via Japan?...

Further to our correspondence over email I'd just like to highlight that whilst our cutlery is designed in Britain and manufactured in China we do have long term, trusted relationships with our manufacturers and our stringent Quality Control procedure ensures that our Stainless Steel range of goods are trusted for their longevity and value for money by a whole host of professional kitchens, caterers and chefs. We also ship everything within the UK from our Head Office near Sheffield. Knives from Japan is part of our company as we also supply premium Japanese made knives which are renowned for their quality but nothing is shipped directly from Japan to our customers. Yes, you had informed me by email that there was a proviso at the bottom of your homepage explaining that your cutlery is designed in the UK and manufactured overseas. Since I went straight to the cutlery page, I did not see the proviso. As you say, the quality of the cutlery is good and the cutlery was not shipped from Japan. My shipping email stated only 'Knives from Japan Ltd' and I did not receive the product as it was a gift. Therefore, there was a misunderstanding. The delivery time and tracking was good.
