Weleda Hypercal Wound Salve 25g (formerly Hypericum & Calendula Ointment)

Weleda HyperCal Wound Salve is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of sore, minor cuts and wounds. This is based on traditional use only. Also known as St John's Wort this ancient remedy was used to ward of evil spirits by the Greeks. Its common name came from the fact that it flowers around 24th June, when St John the Baptist was beheaded and its yellow petals turn red when crushed! Hypericum is often given to treat nerve injuries due to its effective action on the central nervous system. Its varied properties include sedative, anti-inflammatory and antidepressant. Ingredients 100 g contains: Hypericum perforatum, Herba tincture (1=3) 15 ml/Calendula offlcinalis, Herba tincture (H2) 10 ml. In a base containing Lanolin, Yellow Beeswax, Wool Aclohols, Olive Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil. Nominal ethanol content 6.4% w/w. Check that the tube seal is not broken before first use. Pierce the seal with point in end of cap. Weleda HyperCal Wound Salve is for application to the skin. Wash hands before and after use. Adults the elderly and children over 12 years of age: Clean the affected area and apply directly or on a dry dressing two or three times daily. Do not exceed the stated dose. Weleda HyperCal Wound Salve should not be used continuously for longer than one week. If symptoms worsen or persist after one week consult a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner.
