Each statue includes a natural rust finish, which left untreated will develop its own unique patina. Mr Pig looks quite a character. It’s all part of his charm which blends in beautifully with an earthy, leafy garden environment.   Mr Pig statue Maintenance Our cast iron and aluminium garden statue range needs very little maintenance. Once the verdigris or rust finish have been applied, over time each piece will develop its own unique patina based on the conditions the surface of the metal is exposed to. If left in a damp wet environment such as a pond, moss will likely grow. In dry weather the surface texture and colour will become more weathered.
