In my opinion, if the driver passes by a customer, even if he has not paid extra to book for a certain time, in my opinion it is right that the delivery is done on a basis.

Gosh I don't really understand what's happened here. Most of the time DPD have several drivers servicing areas. So you may receive one package from one driver and another from a different driver. I know this has happened to me several times. It doesn't seem to make sense but it does happen. Very unfortunately we have no control over DPD drivers. At Fine Food Specialist we are always trying our hardest to resolve any issues that may arise.
