That's great to hear, thanks. These are from the EVEflex Technik range and we have lots of shapes and sizes, mounted and unmounted. For instance, the small mounted flame burrs are very popular for intricate polishing on silver and other metals.

Silicone Pin Polishers for Jewellery – EVEFLEX (Pack of 6)
Excellent for fine detailed grinding on glass without having to use water and polishes well. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations and was looking for something close to a fire polish.

Dear Lisa, we have emailed you with a response to your feedback with some helpful articles on how to drill through the slate, along with further information you may need. We are also posting you a free 3mm diamond core drill. As a beginner to drilling holes in slate, you may find the small diamond core drills easier to use. Remember use them on your drills slowest speed setting with cold water and little pressure.
