I’m really pleased to hear that you were so impressed with the service provided by our reservations team, we work hard to get back to our customers’ queries as soon as possible as we know there’s nothing more frustrating than waiting for a simple question to be answered.
In terms of the tour I’m also really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour so much that you gave us a 5-star rating, we couldn’t wish for more than that! We do always allow our tour guides a little bit of flexibility with the tour itineraries to make small changes which they feel will benefit the group or changes necessary due to local situations which we might not know about in advance. We’ll be speaking with our team in Morocco to check why this change was made on your particular tour – thanks for letting us know.
As our Morocco on a Shoestring tour is one of our lower priced budget tours, it wouldn’t be possible for us to include a flight between Fez and Marrakech as this would increase the tour price to an uncompetitive level (as we’d still also need to build in the cost of the driver going back to Marrakech in an empty vehicle as we still need to get the driver and vehicle back to Marrakech anyway) and flights are fairly limited between these two cities. We may look at offering this as an extra option though and this is certainly something we’ll consider when introducing more luxury tours in Morocco in the future. We do sometimes use trains in Morocco where it benefits the itinerary, however on the journey from Fez to Marrakech the train takes around 8 hours and since the vehicle is going back to Marrakech with the driver anyway, it wouldn’t really improve the tour for us to include the train here (or shorten the travel time).
