A collaboration between Devon Howard and Britt Merrick the Tri Plane Hull is a modern spin on Al Merrick’s Tri Plane Hull bottom designs that he refined and built during the ’70s and ’80s. The distinctive bottom contour of the TPH is a Greenough inspired planning hull design that generates tremendous “lift,” which adds extra speed, allows for more freedom and ease of control. The Tri Plane Hull bottom is the perfect compliment to bigger egg-shaped boards like this, allowing the board to feel more lively and offer more speed and drive whilst turning.
