Of course, it's bitterly disappointing whenever we see the quality of our shirts being questioned, as offering a top-quality product is absolutely at the heart of our brand. We're sorry that you feel the shirts you purchased on this occasion are not to the same quality as those purchased previously. No matter the thickness of the shirts - which is determined by the weave - the quality of the cotton used us always the best it can possibly be. On previous orders, you chose the Twill weave (a mid-weight). However on this order, you opted for the Poplin - which is the lightest weave we offer. It's still made from great-quality cotton of course, but the lighter and thinner nature of the weave may not be to your liking if you are used to something a little thicker. By all means, you are welcome to return these shirts to us and request the same Twill weave you have purchased in the past.

It is frustrating – for you and for us – when a customer tells us that a shirt is of low quality purely based on its thickness. This is certainly not the case. Many shirts are woven to a specific thickness to target a specific type of gentleman. Each weave has its uses and all are made to the highest quality. Choosing the right fabric can be a daunting process and everybody has a different view – some like “thick” fabrics (Oxford), some like fine fabrics (Poplin), and some prefer something in between (twill). This doesn’t mean that a lighter fabric is a lesser quality than its heavier cousin.
