Made from high carbon steel and suitable for use on all metals, they deliver a superior performance time and again. This Vallorbe Tapering Edge Needle File measures 160mm in length, 5.4mm in width and 1.5mm thick. It features two cutting faces that taper to a fine cutting point and a safety back, making it ideal for filing tight angles and welds. Jewellers may wish to use a separate set of needle files for gold work to avoid cross-contamination of metal. Although it is not necessary to use a handle with needle files, specific needle file handles are available 999 493. This file has a medium cut 2 finish. The coarser the file, the more metal is removed.
