<p>Protexin Equine Gut Sponge 1.5kg is a highly palatable peppermint flavoured horse supplement which has been specifically formulated to support hind gut health in your horse and encourage the formulation of normal droppings.</p> <p>Protexin Gut Sponge contains psyllium husks, which is a prebiotic and valuable energy source for equines due to its fermentation by the microbiota. This provides your horse with safe calories and promotes the growth of friendly bacteria while also nourishing your horse's gut lining cells. The high fibre psyllium husks absorb water in the gut, coating and protecting the gut lining and helping the production of normal droppings. This is enhanced by the high level of Bentonite – a natural binding agent – and source of essential minerals.</p> <p>Linseed is a nutritious source of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, which supports gut health and general well-being.</p> <p><strong>Key Ingredients:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Psyllium husks – high fibre seed husks containing a type of gelling agent which absorb water in the gut, helping the production of normal droppings</li> <li>Bentonite – a natural binding agent</li> <li>Linseed – high in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids</li> </ul> <p><strong>Feeding Instructions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>50g (1 level measure) mixed with feed twice daily for 7-14 days. Then once daily as required or as recommended by your veterinary surgeon. Dampen feed with water prior to feeding.</li> <li>Gut Sponge can be used in conjunction with Gut Balancer for probiotic support.</li> <li>Unless under veterinary supervision do not exceed recommended levels, or feed with other products containing bentonite.
