I am sorry to hear this and also that you had not reported this to us. I can confirm that the chair is leather but that it should not have arrived to you in this condition. As discussed we will be happy to have the chair back and refund you in full but can understand that now you have built it you cannot be done with taking it apart again. I will have new parts sent so that you can change the damaged ones when you have the time. Jamie Welch
