Iced Sponge Cake - Round 8 inch

An 8 inch round sponge cake, iced but otherwise blank for you to decorate yourself. Delivered as soon as the next day, or pick the delivery date you'd like. This cake is made from two layers of classic sponge, sandwiched with buttercream and covered in smooth white sugarpaste. Royal icing beads are piped around the bottom edge. Ideal as a base to decorate your own wedding cake or if you need a birthday cake and don't have the time or skills to bake and ice your a sponge cake yourself. Our cakes are of the highest quality - a moist texture that melts in your mouth. A classic sponge with raspberry jam & buttercream filling. The size is 8 inches diameter (20 cm) and serves 15 to 20. Of course the number of slices depends on how you cut the cake - traditional wedges would give you about 16 slices, or cut into rectangles for a few extra portions.
