We despatch many thousands of plants in 9cm pots and receive only a handful of neagtive comments about the condition of the plants when they are received by our customers. Thank you for your feedback that I have investigated. I can confirm your order was delayed in our Despatch Team because this was stopped through our quality control procedures as we replaced the plants we were originally going to send because they were not 'up to standard'. This action resulted in your plants being received by you a day later than you had requested at 7.53 a.m on the 2nd December. We despatched your order by Express Delivery to ensure it arrived first thing in the morning. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this caused. If you want us to replace any of the under-sized plants please arrange to return these and we will on receipt gladly replace them without charge. Finally we appreciate your comments about an instant hedge but this is an effect that cannot be achieved immediately with Bare Root Plants unless you plant them very densely. For some reason the response I provided, see below, does not appear in full in your feedback. I accept your measurements of the plants. I will as stated arrange for these to be replaced if you return them. Checking the size of plants is as you have stated one of our quality control measures. However on occassions errors arise when we're dealing with significant volume of plants (over 500,000 in some months) and particularly when there are adverse weather conditions that makes the task of bundling the plants very demanding. Thank you for your feedback. The weather in November was the warmest for 350 years resulting in the lifting of our Bare Root Plants being delayed by several weeks. Our website did reflect the delivery timescales. We are now, despite the above challenge and record sales, despatching 95% of orders within 2 days of them being received. The majority of Bare Root Plants defoliate because of stress caused to them through transplanting. If you've planted them as we recommend and use a nitrogen based feed we're confident you will find the plants prosper.
