This design features a pair of 8.5-9mm round Akoya pearls, which are a type of saltwater cultured pearl traditionally cultured in Japan. The diamond leverback has a fine line of 8 pave set diamonds in each earring, totalling 0.08 carats. Each earring measures 15mm in height, with a depth of 10.5mm and is finished in 18 carat white gold. The Akoya pearl is attached easily to the earring by means of a lever mechanism at the back of the ear. When the pearl is attached, the total drop height of the earring is approximately 25mm. These earrings are an interchangeable system that allows a different type of pearl to be attached to the earring or for the earrings to be worn on their own.
