You have ordered such a lot of plants I hope they are all in the ground and are settling into their new home. Oleaster have dark green leaves and as the plants mature silver speckles will appear on the leaves, and they will also have a rougher texture when you touch them. Your plants will have creamy/white flowers in autumn, and then orange fruits will push through in spring to feed hungry birds. So extra wildlife should hopefully be coming into your garden soon. Hi, Thank you for your 5 star review. Its lovely to hear you are pleased with your Beech plants and I hope they are settling into their new home. Beech looks wonderful all year round. In autumn the leaves will turn brown when the plants become dormant for the winter. The plants hold onto these leaves and in spring lots of healthy leaves will push through again. I hope you enjoy your new hedging and the wildlife it will bring to your garden. Privet is a semi-evergreen, which means the plants may lose some or all their leaves during a very chilly winter. In spring lots of new leaves will push through and in the summer they will produce masses of white flowers that will attract lots of butterflies and bees. Its lovely to hear how pleased you are with your new plants and I hope they are enjoying their new surroundings. Laurel Etna is very similar looking to Cherry Laurel, but is slower growing. . During the spring they produce tiny white flowers that are popular with butterflies and bees and during winter they produce small dark berries that hungry birds love. And Japanese Holly ( Ilex Crenata) is a wonderful alternative to Box hedging. It is slowing growing and makes a great dense evergreen hedge 🌿 and the plants do not suffer from box blight or box caterpillar. Hopefully, you have a good mixture of male and female plants, which will ensure the female plants produce lots of berries in winter for you and these berries will attract lots of hungry birds.
