Masses of lacy flowerheads bear colour-changing blooms that open greenish white before becoming suffused with a rosy pink that deepens as the weather cools. Not only is 'Ophelia' uniquely compact, but it also bursts into flower much earlier than other paniculata varieties, before continuing to bloom for five months. The dried flowerheads remain on the plant to provide winter interest. Easy to grow, undemanding and shade-tolerant, this dwarf hydrangea is a truly rewarding plant to grow.
