We depend on manufacturers for a constant flow of products. Normally we replace Automatic pens within a few days so any delays are minimal. However the manufacturer didn't let us know that they had a problem so kept expecting a delivery 'soon'. I am sorry that the delivery didn't arrive in time to post for Christmas but as emailed on 23rd it was posted on Christmas Eve - with apologies.
Hopefully Royal Mail will get round to delivering it quickly.

I have responded to this query (but obviously not as quickly as required) as there has been a problem in obtaining a supply of Automatic Pens. It is unusual for us to run out of stock of these pens for more than a few days but for some reason the manufacturer cannot at the moment make enough pens. I have apologised and promised delivery of the pens that are in stock. As for the 'advice' please look at other comments about our speed and efficiency before deciding on your order. We have supplied 25,000+ orders over the last 17 years and never (that's never) not delivered. If occasionally we have been slow and not communicated well enough we try to learn from it and do better next time.

The answer is Ok for me —a bit late, you´ll recognized— but looking after your historiy of pleased costumers, I think the more reasonable action is to give you a vote of confidence.
I´ll wait for a while.

At last Automatic Pens have arrived back in stock. We normally receive stock within 3-4 days but these pens have been on order for a month. The manufacturers are very apologetic but that is little comfort for customers who are waiting.
I sincerely apologise for the unusual delay and the anxiety it has caused you. I will post your pens tomorrow and hopefully they will arrive soon
