Dear Hugh,

Thank you for your feedback. You might want to start with this article on Reformation hymnody - a number of hymns are referenced as well as key individuals. (Click on the link to Martin Luther within the article for more details of the hymns he wrote, for example.) Another starting point would be the categories page, which allows you to filter articles by era and by tradition.
