Both my parents were not able to discern a difference between the TV speakers and the speaker bar. This particular model's volume can only be controlled by the zvox remote.

Thank you for the feedback. You should really be hearing a big improvement in dialogue clarity compared to your TV's internal speakers. If you are not, make sure the TV's internal speakers are turned off or muted and that AccuVoice is enabled by pressing the AccuVoice button on the ZVOX remote. Many TV and set top box remotes can also be programmed to control the ZVOX volume using a simple programming code.
