Merry Christmas! Here’s our 2017 all wrapped up
In a year packed with changes – from Brexit talks and general elections, to GDPR and regulation announcements – at least one thing hasn’t changed: Feefo’s commitment to being the best provider of genuine customer feedback and analytics, and what a year it’s been!
From royal recognition, to huge leaps forward in our technology, here’s our round up of just some of our many highlights.
Our most prestigious award to date, we were absolutely over the moon to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in April. As the name suggests, this highly regarded award is given by Queen Elizabeth, under advice from the Prime Minister – we’re extremely proud to have been selected.
We won the award in the Innovation category, after showing off what our platform can do to help businesses connect with customers.
Alongside our Queen’s Award trophy, we also scooped the winner’s gong for ‘Best Travel Ratings/Reviews Website’ at the British Travel Awards, came first at the Complaint Handling Awards, and placed in the Times Tech Track 100 for the second time in a row.

Continuing to deliver on an enviable roadmap of innovative products and features, we were excited to launch our first foray into AI and machine learning this year.
Smart Themes and Performance Profiling take customer analytics to the next level. Utilising the latest innovation in reviews, customers can now quickly find feedback they need to make more confident buying decisions, and businesses can create unbelievably detailed reports across all of their products and services.
While still a fairly new addition to the Feefo arsenal, the results have been incredible, helping businesses that have adopted the technology to better understand their customers, increase conversions and clicks, and analyse their reviews like never before.
These products join a long line of technological advancements to the Feefo platform, as we continue to put the best tools into the hands of those that work with us.

We believe that customers are a business’s most valuable asset. Their insight is the best way to understand the customer journey, and inform better business decisions. That’s why throughout 2017, we commissioned a number of research pieces – and created some info-packed reports.
Our first consumer research report – ‘Online Reviews: The Consumers’ Perspective’ – asked 2,000 people from across every area of the UK, and every demographic, everything from how they prefer to shop, how they feel about online reviews, and what influences them most to make a purchase.
We also began a series of research reports into specific sectors. Our report into estate agents revealed a wealth of information about consumer attitudes, and more recently, our research into the banking industry provided valuable insight into the loyalty of millennials.
All our research was conducted independently to ensure credibility, and the reports can be downloaded for free in our Resources hub.
Over the years, the team at Feefo have pulled together to take on some incredible challenges. From climbing mountains, to ultra-marathons, sponsored cycles and everything in between, we’re proud to raise money for an incredible cause - Just a Drop.
This year was no different. An intrepid team took on the Tough Mudder 2017 challenge, raising more than £350– and getting very muddy in the process.
That, combined with a host of other sponsored events, means we’ve reached our fundraising target of £12,000 – an incredible testament to the efforts of everyone at Feefo in doing their bit to support a worthy charity.
What’s more, the amount was match funded by chairman Nick Wheeler, doubling the mammoth amount to a whopping £24,000! That money is now being used to build a sand dam close to Mbasya village in Makueni County, Kenya, which will transform the lives of 2,860 people.
We work alongside some of the best names in the business to continually grow our brand presence, contribute to leading research, and discuss important topics in the world of customer feedback and insights.
This year, we began a partnership with the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), a network of more than 1,000 UK companies that connect to share creativity, innovation and marketing ideas. Throughout the year, we attended a variety of events, to lend our expertise on customer engagement, and to contribute our research.
We’re also delighted to be partnered with the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC), the largest trade association representing the UK’s recruitment and staffing industry. This supports our growth as we branch out into more industries, including the recruitment.
Not only that, but we’ve taken reviews up a gear with our Auto-Trader syndication, allowing businesses in the motor industry to showcase their genuine Feefo reviews on Auto-Trader listings.
Of course, we’re continually partnering with some of the biggest brands, to deliver outstanding review and customer analytics solutions – we now work with more than 4,000 businesses!
