For a minuscule few hundred dollars in the cost of the project i have see homeowners go with companies that have "Home Improvement Contractor Registrations" with the Louisiana State Board Contractors". My 18 year old son can get that license with no testing at all and he doesn't know the difference in sheet rock or hardy board. A contractor who isn't certified by the SPFA and OSHA 30 who doesn't follow proper protocol on every single job is a nightmare waiting to happen in your home. My father my he rest his soul always said "Ira don't be penny wise and Dollar foolish". In this industry it certainly pertains to it.
