It is recommended that this item is to be used with either a cooling pillowcase, or a pure cotton pillowcase as other fibres can create heat. The gel itself it designed to hold the cold, so it is important to keep the pillow out of directly sunlight and in a cool room, if this is not possible the gel cover can be removed and stored in a fridge or a similar cold area. Please ensure the gel does not become frozen to prevent frostbite or sticking to skin, a cover should always be used and a chilled for a short period of time only.
