In this week's Faces of Feefo, we speak to a member of our Boston office, Tim McSweeney, about his role as Customer Acquisition Team Lead.
How long have you been working at Feefo?
I started Jan 2nd 2018, so about 16 months.
What’s a typical day for you at Feefo?
As leader of the Customer Acquisitions team I wear many hats. My day starts off with monitoring/distributing all US inbound leads to our Account Executives. Then I typically respond to any inbound enquiries that have come in and check in with Marketing about what webinar they’re currently working on. After that, I begin my calls for the day.
Throughout the week I may have additional calls. Also, I have bi-weekly coaching meetings with our Customer Acquisitions team to ensure we remain the top performing team companywide.
What’s the best customer experience you’ve ever received?
I recently bought a new car and signed up to a nightmare insurance deal. After coming to my senses and speaking to some colleagues, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try to lower my rate (I have a very good driving record), but my insurer wouldn’t budge. I called a small insurance broker near my hometown and she, without guarantee of earning my business since I already had insurance, went above and beyond getting me quotes from five different companies. I ended up saving $300 a month with my new deal. I was blown away that someone did all that work just for the CHANCE to earn my business!
What do you do when you’re not in the office?
I spend most of my time hanging out with the love of my life, Lauren, and our pups, Bentley and Marley. We live on the lake, so I do a lot of fishing. I love to cook, watch UFC, love battle rap (and rap in general) and am a diehard Boston sports fan.
What’s the best thing about working at Feefo?
I was an early hire at Wayfair (then CSNStores.com) and from the start of my time there I felt like we were on the cusp of something special. I get that same feeling at Feefo. I honestly am privileged that the people I consider my dear friends are also my colleagues. I get to work with my friends all day and crush sales, what’s better than that?
I initially took this job because while at Forrester Research I kept noticing this tall surfer looking guy (he had longer hair back then) literally winning EVERY quarterly sales award. His team always were top performers and I remember thinking to myself, “man one day I’d love to work with that guy.” So when he later joined Feefo as the Vice President of Sales and Operations, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to learn from the best!
