A delicate fine bone china espresso cup set created to coincide with The EY Exhibition: Picasso 1932 - Love, Fame, Tragedy. The saucer features a narrow black rim whilst the cup displays an image of Picasso’s Woman with Flower Writing. Throughout his life Picasso maintained a strong attachment to figuration and the female form, primarily influenced by his lovers and muses. Whilst he experimented with many different artistic styles during his prolific career he continuously returned to rework the theme of the female figure. Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) is widely acknowledged as one of the most influential artists of the twentieth- century. Born in Spain, Picasso began his artistic career in Barcelona before settling in Paris in 1904. He worked in an unprecedented variety of styles and is recognised as a painter, sculptor, etcher, lithographer, ceramist and designer. Dishwasher safe.
