Hi Deanna,
First of all, I really appreciate you getting in touch about Marius, the operative who attended your site. It is very kind of you to express your concern, and it displays real empathy towards our workforce, which we appreciate a great deal. Thank you also for offering to help Marius get the boxes to his vehicle.
Marius is a very experienced member of our team, and 64 boxes is typically not a very large job for our operatives. All of our driving teams are fully trained in manual handling, and all routes are allocated to drivers based on their capabilities. Marius is highly capable and would have appreciated your help, but equally would have been happy to perform this job by himself. The rest of his route took into account the volume at your collection, which I can see took just over an hour. I understand this meant the job probably took a little longer than you were expecting, and we must apologise for any interruption that was caused by this.
Just to reassure you further, all operatives have regular check-ins with their managers, are provided with full training, and we run a comprehensive occupational health programme. We employ truly outstanding driving staff to complete what is a manual job, but if they ever feel like they are unable to complete a job on their own or are struggling, they are actively encouraged to reach out to their line managers. As the only UK shredding service provider with Gangmasters certification, we have many processes and checks in place to ensure high standards of working conditions are met at all times. Following on from receiving your review, our Operations Manager has scheduled a meeting with Marius to talk about this event and, if there are concerns there, they will be documented and remedied.
I hope this provides you with some comfort, and we appreciate you choosing Shred Station.
All the best,
Emily.
