In several important Buddhist rituals, the Bell is part of a set, together with the Dorje. The Dorje stands for the male principle and the Bell for the female counterpart. Can also be used as handbell. BUDDHA hand bell. Buddha, the Enlightened One is the legendary Sage of the East, who dedicated his life to searching for spiritual truth and wisdom. Eventually he attained enlightenment under the sacred Bodhi-tree. However, his compassion was so great that instead of leaving this planet to enter Nirvana he remained on Earth in order to teach his wisdom and help all sentient beings to attain enlightenment. Burn this incense to contemplate Buddhahood and the laws of Karma and to meditate on the causes of human suffering. This incense includes Himalayan herbs and leaves collected from the sacred ‘tree of wisdom’. Approx Size: H: 17cm The bell tones beautifully. Made from bronzed brass.
