When the jar is placed in sunlight (for the best result put it in direct sunlight), the solar cell inside the jar creates an electrical current that charges the rechargeable battery. This energy then powers the LED lamp inside the jar at night-time. The Suck UK Sun Jar in Yellow is ideal for any space, whether inside your house - living room or a nightlight for children - or as garden decoration which gives some vibrancy to outdoor seating areas. And the jar is completely watertight, so don’t fear for its safety in the perilous English weather! There are no visible switches on the jar; a light sensor automatically activates the lights when darkness falls (i.e. when the sun sets or you turn the lights off!)
