Thanks for your feedback. We are very surprised that you have found our confirmation emails concerning. The process of sending an order confirmation email to a customer is pretty much industry standard. It allows a customer to double check that that they have entered their details correctly and we've had numerous occasions when it has allowed a customer to call through after noticing they have made a mistake with their delivery address. Indeed on the rare occasions where a customer doesn't receive a confirmation email it is normal for them to contact us requesting one.
To describe regular emails as "insecure" suggests that we could somehow send it to you via a "secure email". This is not something that would be an easy or normal thing to do. We use normal email to send our order confirmations out just like every other company does. Sending your own information back to you does not "make a mockery of the data protection act 1988" and having reviewed our process am happy that it is completely in line with what the vast majority of our customers would wish.
If we can help you with anything else please don't hesitate to ask.
