Dengie Fresh Bed for chickens is a chopped dust extracted wheat straw with pine oil - the perfect bedding for chickens. Its super soft smells great and a little goes a long way. It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal qualities. It is endorsed with The British Hen Welfare Trust and is ideal for ex battery hens in particular that don't tend to roost. It is 100% bio-degradable which makes the Fresh Bed ideal for composting. It also composts considerably quicker than shavings and wood pellets making it very easily disposed of. Using Fresh Bed for chickens will keep your hens very happy warm and snuggled. 100 litres should last 3-5 hens about 4 weeks and 50 litres should last about 2 weeks.
