Sometimes it can take a little while to get used to the countour and shape of the pillow. Please give us a call if things do not improve and will work through it with you. The deluxe version is on the firmer side when compared with the memory range of complete sleeprrrs. Thanks very much for your feedback and please contact with any further queries. Thanks for your feedback. Both pillows are made of a high density foam (heavy) so that they both last a long time. To make the pillow softer you can put something heavy on them ie some thick books so that the pillow is flattened out. This basically serves to breakdown the foam structure a bit in the pillow (which will eventually happen over time with foam products) and it should feel softer. I am very sorry about the mattress size. We did have them marginally smaller than a double so that fitted sheets would be able to go comfortably over the top. We have since made it the same size as a regular double at 185 x 133 x 5cm.
