Thank you so much for your kind comments - they really are appreciated.  Trust that you are settling in and that the box-count is starting to reduce!

Firstly we are so delighted that the transaction has now gone through and obviously in an ideal world we would have preferred it to have been a far shorter transaction and more straightforward.  However we have a complicated system in this country and sometimes these matters are far more drawn out than any of the parties would wish.  In this particular case the real issue that needed addressing further down the chain was a defective lease and when you are dealing with freeholders and parties not directly affected by the transaction it always makes it much trickier to get things done in a sensible timespan.  We have found over the years that making sure that all parties in the chain are kept fully aware on a frequent basis of all developments minimises the chance of someone making a rash decision.  Fortunately everybody ended up with the properties they wanted in the end.  We wish you all the very best in your new home!
