Founded in 1969, Yapp Brothers Wine Merchants is widely recognized as the UK’s leading importer of French regional wines. Our agencies include world-famous domaines such as Jean-Louis Chave, Georges Vernay, Patrick Jasmin, Auguste Clape, Alain Graillot, Le Vieux Donjon, Trévallon and Jasper Hill. From its premises in Mere, Wiltshire, Yapp Brothers runs a shop, mailorder and internet operation, as well as supplying many of the best restaurants in the UK (encompassing over 50 Michelin stars).

I was not informed, but that seems to have a Parcelforce problem. When I contacted Yapp because the wine had not arrived, Christie Hewlett was very helpful and organised a Saturday delivery. Product rating : This was disappointing. It seemed rather ordinary and lacked Viognier character. I don't know whether it was a problem bottle. The 1997 Coteau de Vernon, on the other hand, was wonderful (I mention this because it isn't included in this rating request). Read more	I am sorry that you didn’t enjoy this wine. It’s a surprise to us as this wine has received good independent endorsement from Jancis Robinson & Jonathan Ray, see below. We understand, however, that such things are subjective, hence we offer a ‘no quibble’ returns policy where we are happy to exchange bottles that customers aren’t happy with. Please get in touch with us if you would like to discuss this. March 2012 by Jancis Robinson Some vines in Condrieu. Minerals and flowers on the nose. Partly raised in oak. Very round and charming on the palate with a lot of acid and some astringency. Good restaurant wine? Not intense but very well made. I've dealt with dozens of merchants over the years and this was the best service I've ever received when things have gone wrong.
