Service rating : Pleasant & helpful staff. Nice touch leaving a birthday card in the room. Food excellent
Product rating : Slightly tired room, peeling paint in bathroom, worn soft furnishings - could do with refurbishment.

Product rating : Rather small (especially compared with the lovely room next door which our friends were given). It needed a blind at the window as it was not private from an adjacent room's window

Service rating : The Swan is the 3rd hotel in the chain in which we've stayed. Excellent reception staff. Service in the dining room at night was good but at breakfast time poor, boarding on bad, 2 waitresses preferring to chat to one another ignoring needs of diners & leaving the work to a 3rd. All our visits to Burford have been a joy, but we're unlikely to return to Bibury.
Product rating : We were given a comfortable, quiet and attractive room at the back of The Swan but it had a disappointing and unkempt outlook. A pity too that there were no home-made flapjacks which we much enjoyed recently in Burford where all meals were excellent.

Service rating : We have been to the Swan before and love the location in a beautiful village. It was a split decision on the newly refurbished restaurant. My husband loved it, but I myself prefer the traditional white cloths etc. which makes me feel really pampered and looked after.
Product rating : The rooms as always were excellent, especially the bed, we always have a great nights sleep and feels, and is a little luxury.

Product rating : Was clean and warm enough in the room, which was the most important for us. Also the room is very cute!

Service rating : Had an enjoyable overnight stay for our 51st Wedding Anniversary.
If I had to nit-pick it would be that I thought the bar staff were a little too casual and one had dirty trousers. The front of house staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Product rating : Very comfortable - enjoyed the multi-jet shower.

Service rating : Beautiful setting even in march when weather was very cold, all rooms were warm and clean. breakfast and sunday lunch lovely, waiting staff friendly and helpful. Will definately stay again.
Product rating : Fantastic room Dragonfly, wonderful bathroom with jacuzzi. Although freezing outside the room was lovely and warm. Spotlessly clean.

Service rating : Service was very good. Room was great. But... the Brasserie was unbearably cold - we weren't the only customers to have to go back to our room to get extra layers of clothing. We ate in the bar on the second night. Overall food seemed not as good as at The Lamb at Burford or The Bear at Rodborough

Garden Suite

We had our third visit to The Swan - a lovely country hotel in a perfect setting - we chose a garden suite this time and was very nice and peaceful with a lovely log fire which was lovely as it was a cold snowy weekend - would have been nice if they left some matches to light it with though!! The Sunday lunch was alright but not the best roast I have had - the lamb was barely edible - couldnt even cut it but my husbands beef was nice - the starters and sweets were lovely - so not all bad! We had a comfortable nights sleep in the very cosy bed. The shower was a very good power shower but the hot/cold dials were outside the shower cubicle - not a good design!

The breakfast was a fiasco - very poor service - it was though we were invisible - we had to ask for everything and waited about 45 mins for our cooked breakfast to be served.

All in all we do love it here and will return
