Double Room

Service rating : Third time definitely lucky! Not that the first or second time visits were anything other than great. Fabulous room, brilliant staff (especially front of house) and amazing food. Here's to trip No.4 at this lovely hotel. Thank you everyone for making us feel special ..... again :-) SHIRLEY AND CHRIS
Product rating : We upgraded to a junior suite this time. Gorgeous, but wouldn't be too disappointed if we didn't do that again. It was dark and not very spacious and to be honest we weren't too keen on being at ground floor level. Not the hotel's fault, we should have made them aware that we prefer to be upstairs. Nevertheless we were really comfortable. The superior rooms are a difficult act to follow - a really great overall experience though. Thank you again everyone!

Service rating : Comfy and inviting, lovely decor, excellent food for that just a little bit special stay would thoroughly recommend. Staff very good too!
Product rating : Teddy in the room very well behaved. As the rest of the hotel, comfy, home from home very clean, neat and as you would expect beautifully furnished.

Service rating : Service was exceptional in the restaurant and bar but a little perfunctory at reception. We were happy to arrive and stay but could have been made to feel more welcome.
Product rating : The room was very enjoyable, reception was polite but not particularly warm, the bar was nicely done, and breakfast the following morning was excellent. But there was no one to take our bags up and down. Overall, a very good value but the product can be improved.

Twin Room

Service rating : Lovely ambience, friendly staff and an excellent dinner.
Product rating : Comfortable beds, plenty of space for a short stay - complimentary water most welcome.

Junior Suite

Service rating : Third visit to this excellent hotel. First after refurb. Service, accommodation, restaurant, welcome all superb. But came on a snowy week, and room was cold, By third night had two heaters running and all was well! Also the restaurant cold on one evening. We gather these problems are being fixed so we shall look forward to our next February visit!

Product rating : One minor criticism re the taps in the wash basin; we told them direct & understand it's being addressed

Service rating : Service was good except restaurant where it was slow especially in removal of plates. We were sat there having finished a course food would be delivered toadjacent tables but we were ignored,perhaps this was due to the amount of food we left. We had steaks, the chips and onion rings were burnt and hence inedible.

Service rating : The staff were frienly and helpful and the hotel setting lovely
Product rating : My only complaint would be the pillows, very soft and therefore I struggled to sleep. I undertsand you cannot satisfy everyone but other hotels I have visited do have othe pillows available if required but this was not the case here.

Twin Room

Service rating : Very good and attentive.
Product rating : We were moved to a double room which we were pleased about - but it was rather cold. Even the electric heater provided made little difference.
