Service rating : My older daughter has always had shoes from another popular shoe shop as I like them to be properly fitted and my local shops do not stock many start-rite shoes. After 3 pairs of faulty sandals in 2 months from this other shop, I decided to buy online from Start-rite. Knowing how important it is to have correctly fitting shoes, I was a little worried that I might get it wrong. We printed out the size chart and measured a few times to be sure. The shoes arrived quickly and after watching the fitting videos decided they were too wide. The returns process was quick and simple and the refund was processed promptly. I re ordered the same shoes in a smaller size and they also arrived quickly and fit perfectly. We are very happy with the new shoes and the service received. Although Start-rite may be a little more expensive, I definitely think the quality and beautiful designs are worth every penny.Product rating : These are beautifully made, gorgeous little Cruisers. Although I watched the shoe fitting video and they seemed like a good fit to me, I was cheeky and had them checked by a professional in a large dept store.

The service was excellent. However, I had ordered the wrong style of shoe which resulted in a poor fit on my child. I would have liked the option on the return form to request a different shoe (without having to incur another delivery charge).

Service rating : Simply THE best shoes for children. My only disappointment is that pre-walkers finish in a size 5. I have two grandchildren, one who had her first pair of Maisy pre-walkers in a size 4F when she was eleven months old when she was mastering toddling. Her next pair of pre-walkers will I suppose be in three months time and she will have hit the biggest size. I feel that pre-walkers with their ultimate flexibility, are an ideal shoe and that the next stage up is a little more substantial and in my mind not as suitable as a pre-walker in an unavailable size bigger. My grandson however was a latish walker at 17 months and his first pair of pre-walkers were in a size 3, but even then I just wished Startrite made these shoes up to a size 6 and 6.Product rating : Absolutely adorable, we have purple nubuck and navy, both are wonderful. One quibble I do have is why don't Startrite make shoes for pre-school little boys size 9-11 in navy blue. I do feel to buy black or dull brown shoes at the age of 3.5 is rather dull when they have all their lives likely to have these as their two main choices.
