The only reason that I haven't returned it for a refund is because the knife is so good, but I will have to have a decent sheath made. The oak handle of the flint and steel fell off whilst I was taking it out of the package!!! Not impressed at all that I had to get out the Araldite to fix it...

Slight botch up with timing of delivery (needed and paid for next day but did not arrive) and goods showing as available on the web site when they were not but the staff were so polite and pleasant (and agreed to refund my delivery payment in full) that I would use the company again.

Service rating : The ProAdventure web site really ought to (a) reflect the products actually on sale and (b) the sizes in those products actually available. I wanted the Gortex lined version of the Lowe Alpine Mountain Cap in XL. The Web site said they had one in the right size (AND IT STILL DOES - making specific mention of the Gortex lining!) . In fact ProAdventure didn't have the cap in that size; they offered an alternative. When I turned that down, they very helpfully checked with Lowe Alpine and then had them send me a cap direct. However, when it arrived, the cap was not made with a Gortex lining. When I queried this direct with Lowe Alpine, the message was the Gortex cap had been discontinued some considerable time ago! Now, had I known that earlier, I could have bought the cap I now have, lined using Lowe Alpine's "TriplePoint", from a number of other suppliers who (a) were accurately advertising what they had to sell and (b) were cheaper.Product rating : It's keeps you warm, it keeps you dry, it does the job.

Delivery took slightly longer than anticipated as the item was out of stock but after confirmation I got almost the same design in the end

Service rating : I was disapointed with the quality of the hat however Proadventure offered a replacement or refund, i chose a replacement which was better quality than the first item.Product rating : A present for my sister which she chose, i have a screamer hat which i've had for about 3yrs which is more robust than this new style but overall she is happy with it.

Excellent products at reasonable prices...however, the postage charges are very steep - I'd have preferred the option of standard postage, rather than paying £6:00 postage on a £13:00 order.
