Service rating : easy procedure but given wrong information about park entrance. given that for off site hotel guests but we were on site. took several emails to sort this issue but satisfactory outcome in the endProduct rating : nice size bathroom but tiling around bath poor in areas and grouting missing - some black areas enjoyed food choices in the evening and breakfast despite there being large uncontrolled youth groups who took over the dining area and buffet.

Service rating : easy to book, great price, lots of hotels to choose from. contacted them by phone with a query and couldn't have been more helpful.Product rating : lovely, family hotel 5 mins from beach, 10 min walk along beautiful seafront to main shops/clubs. a quiet area but with a few local bars nearby. 10 mins to macdonalds and bus stop to port Aventura, tarragona, etc, 10 mins to train station for Barcelona. fantastic location for us. All hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of lovely choices to eat each night.

Service rating : Everything was easy to do, only problem was that the price of the airline tickets went up from when we booked and they had to phone and ask us if we still wanted to travel with extra cost.Product rating : We had to stay off site as no hotel room at Port Adventura could accommodate 2 adults and 3 children. Hotel was great. Only issue was that we had to get a bus to the park each day which would cost 10 euros each way. Added an extra 60 euros to the cost of the holiday.

Holiday was very enjoyable for us all - the only thing that we all agreed upon was the swimming pool being absolutely freezing even with high temperatures! We also got very confused as to when the free trains to and from the beach and hotel/parks and hotel were and felt a timetable would have been helpful. Finally, on our last day after we packed everything, our flight was not until late that night so we extended our hotel room for half a day. However, we were under the impression that we could get free towels to use to sunbathe/swim etc, but found we had to pay a further fee! Surely if you use the card system as you do with the meals, a deposit would not be necessary because if the towels were not returned, you just charge to the room/occupants? It was felt the hidden costs kept creeping in!

Service rating : the hotel was not up to usual 4star standard with the room being quite small and a little shabby and the grounds of the hotel were not as clean as they could have been.Product rating : friendly staff and good service, but as mentioned above the surroundings were a bit tired.

Service rating : Didn't like the staggered opening of the rides. My son nearly got knocked over & crushed while waiting for shambala. As hotel guests it would be good to have early ride time like at Alton towers and Disney parks. Deal we got was more expensive and not as good as the first time we went in 2009. Water park too full and queue times too long over 2hrs on some days had to wait 40 mins in express queue for furious baco! Apart from this had a great time loved shambalaProduct rating : Waiting staff were v good in the bar, river bar and the restaurants. Lifeguards spent too much time chatting to each other and on mobile phones when at pool. Rooms were excellent. Only criticism was that on an evening it lacked atmosphere, shame saloon bar wasn't open with entertainment, when we came in 2009 much better with bands playing there rather than just the half hr of young kids entertainment. Could do with shop on site as the location makes it hard to walk to any shops for water, groceries.
Loved everything about this holiday would recommend all families try it!

Service rating : Dissappointed that we couldnt avail of soft drinks in theme park with our package although my other family members did with first choice & our price was more expensive, it was awkward given we were all together.theme park food outlets very unfriendly with el paso guests as if we were free loading!!!Product rating : Hotel super although bar facilities close too early & it was impossible to get even water or purchase soft drinks which is a bit much.had to walk back up to machines at theme park!! A vending machine in the hotel is a simple solution.

I've been to resort before and found that this time the quality had dropped. There was no nice bathroom extras, the paint looked tired and it seemed expensive. There needs to be entertainment in the evening for adults too

Two minor things would be that we didn't get our proper printout to collect our tickets, luckily they could get the record of us though and for your theme park can u please signpost the toilets better. We struggled to find them in some areas including using the map and when u have a 5 year old and 2 year old they sometimes wait too long.Product rating : Fantastic hotel. Clean rooms and well serviced. A little small but plenty cupboard space. The staff are friendly and do anything to help. A fantastic range of food each day which was lovely and fresh and tasted great. We will definitely be back.

Service rating : We would class PortAventura on the same level as Disney USA. The staff, the facilities and the cleanliness were excellent. Our two grandsons had "THE BEST TIME EVER", in their words.Product rating : The hotel was just right, not too big and not too far away from the PortAventura Park. The staff were very attentive, the food varied and good and the facilities were spot on. Our grandchildren could not keep out of the lovely swimming pool.

Holiday was good could not fault the hotel or helpful staff the only thing that was a nightmare was the hour and halfs wait for the coach transfer to hotel which was ridiculous just left us standing there didnt even explain why we were waiting. Also my husband lost his wedding ring in the pool at the Portaventura Hotel I did report this via email when we returned to the UK as thought it might have been found through the pools filtration system but no one every replied which was a bit poor. The experience is brillant and we had a great time but I found that between the hotel and the theme park that the quality of food and the price in relation to the quality was not good.The fact that coca cola can sanction the prices charged for their products is unbelievable.

Service rating : I had a few requests like a room near the entrance to the park as I had a crutch and wanted to avoid walking and they were more than helpful in getting me the nearest available room.Product rating : Staff are not the friendliest and helpful and v poor english but we stayed there before so my local knowledge helped.

Also, I have never stayed in a hotel without tea making facilities in the room. It was a little noisy but then we were right next to a theme park!

Regards the hotel,the walls were paper thin and the idea of having all the rooms with interconnecting doors is a hideous idea,as it makes the paper thin walls even worse i am so glad that the people next door wanted to sleep when we did as even the softest of voices can be heard.Some rooms with twin beds would also be a good idea as i had to share a bed with my 12 year old daughter,i was told that the hotel had no single beds....if this is true then someone needs sacked...It is such a shame as Portaventura could be so so much better.

Service rating : The holiday itself was enjoyable however we had to wait over 2 hours for ourtransfer and the staff were very unhelpful and didnt speak a word of english. Also we struggled to check in to the hotel as they couldnt find our booking but luckily they did eventually.Product rating : The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was wonderful.

Nice facilities although children activities was missleading as despite what advertised, children mini-club was only available for selected families (booked through a Russian travel agency). This significantly impacted on our holiday plan and felt that the hotel manager was not sympathetic towards our complains.

the only downside was that for the 2 days we were there shambala was not working and the dragon kahn for 1 day, we had came all the way from ireland and had been watching it be built on line. We came back another day but we thought we should have got in at a reduced price, nevertheless we are looking forward to coming bac in 2013.

Service rating : all in all good holiday had by allProduct rating : stayed at better hotels but stayed at far worse, room was clean and comfortable and everthing was right on your door step but you pay for this 2.50 euros for a bottle of water at the hotel walk 10 mins into salou and it about 50 cents same can be said for a meal for 4 hotel about 70 euros less then half in salou but this is no different to Disney or Universal in Florida or Even Alton towers resort here in the uk. we went in March and it was busy would hate to think how busy it would be at peak season, room was really clean as were public areas and pools, Staff were friendly, and breakfast was Excelent really something for everyone

Service rating : Poor value - hotel standard not up to scratch, low staff levels meant check-in, cleaning, restaurant service, and check-out was all very slow handled with an almost disdainful attitude - a sharp contrast to how welcoming, friendly and keen to help staff at our hotel in Barcelona and local restaurants (just outside PortAventura) were.Product rating : If I go again, I'll stay outside PortAventura and just pay for entry.

Service rating : Though in the hole we had an awsome time i do have thre critisisms 1) the ride opps just wernt as nice and plesant as you get in the uk 2) the fact that unlimited wristbads were valid for the hole stay at the onsite hotel wasn't made that clear and we didn't realise until we asked the reception. 3) having bought the wristbands we then wern't allowed at the front even when there was noone in the normal queue this just seemed spitefulProduct rating : The only thing to let the hotel down was that the serviced stoped at midnight even when the park was open to that time so we would get back from the firworkworks and would be unable to get a nightcap

Would recommend this holiday to other families.Product rating : Hotel and food were good although twice i picked up uncooked kebabs which could of given nasty food poisining if I had of eaten them, chefs need to be told to make sure they are cooked instead of rushing them because they where in high demand. Also entertainment was very poor, but this did not spoil our holiday, yet with better entertainment it could only of improved an already fantastic holiday. Staff all really helpful and we were made to feel welcome.
