The online service from On The Beach was basic but clear and easy to use. However, beware or booking expensive transfers through them. Booking your own taxi or taking the bus is much cheaper.

Louis Princess Beach

My husband and I travelled to Cyprus to holiday with my brother who was flying in from outside the UK. While staying at the Louis Princess Beach Hotel we encountered a number of hygiene, customer service and health and safety issues. Here are some of the worst: 1. My brother arrived at around 11am. He was told he couldn't check in until 2pm and was left with no refreshments after his long flight. 2. My brother requested an Express (24hr) laundry service. The clothes were not returned and so he raised the issue with Reception who told him that it wasn't their problem and he would have to speak to Housekeeping. He finally got his clothes back on day 3 of his 5 day stay. When he checked out, Reception tried to charge him for the Express service. He also noted that someone had altered the dates on the form to make it look like there hadn't been a problem. 3. On our first day, we found a large mosquito in the pasta. Although the issue was reported and the individual plate containing the mosquito removed, the buffet tray was left out for other unsuspecting guests to help themselves. This sickened us and neither myself or my brother could face dining in the hotel after this, which meant that the high cost of going all inclusive was a complete waste of money. 4. My brother paid for WiFi but it kept failing. When he first reported it to Reception he was told that the WiFi service was provided by an external supplier and that he would have to speak to them. This was despite the fact that he had paid the hotel - not the supplier - for the service. 5. The hotel advertises a mini bar in each room. Indeed this is partly what gives it a 4 star rating. However, the fridges were empty. When this was pointed out, we were told that we were welcome to buy our own stock to keep in the fridge. 6. I noted one fire door that had been blocked off with a curtain and a large piece of furniture. I noted another fire door with an illuminated sign above it pointing away from the door. There were no sensor lights in the fire escape stairs. I hate to imagine what would happen if there was a fire at night as in their panic people may not be able to find the light switch and would be at risk of falling down the stairs, causing a blockage for others trying to escape. Overall I am extremely disappointed. We had saved hard for the last twelve months and I feel absolutely gutted and cheated because the hotel was so bad.

Cyprus

I wouldn't go out of season again as many places were shut and it was very cold. On The Beach indicated an average temperature of 20 degrees for this time of year. However, locals told us that it was the worst winter Cyprus has had in a long time. The places that were open had good food/entertainment and warm and friendly staff.
