Ski / Snowboard lessons in Val d'Isere

I was in a beginner's ski school with Jimmy. He is an excellent teacher. He was friendly and encouraging and brought on all members of the group - making the learning of a challenging skill both fun and satisfying. He had a remarkable ability to remember all our names and he was very patient yet he ensured we all made good progress. I would hope to be able to join another class with Jimmy if we are able to return next year and would highly recommend him as a trainer.

Ski / Snowboard lessons in Val d'Isere

I didn't book my younger children's lessons with New Gen due to the time/length of the lessons, (we wanted 3hr lessons) but I wish I had because when I watched the various New Gen instructors on the slopes, they looked to be doing a lot more 'teaching' than the school we went with. Therefore, when we decided to book a 2hr private lesson for our older son, we didn't hesitate to book a lesson with Blair. The girl we spoke to at your office was REALLY helpful and my son said the lesson was great and the de-brief that Blair gave us about Jack was very detailed and clear. I would definately use New Gen again because I genuinely think our 2 younger children would have made more progress with New Gen than they did.

This is the second time that I have used New Gen for my children and again they had a great week. Previously we have had Jimmy, this time with Dougie and Jo and all were good fun and professional. I always recommend them to others.

We had a wonderful week in Val D'isere. Only one small space for improvement, in kids ski school we think it would be good if you provided a snack and drink at break. But the tuition was superb!

there were 2 in the private lesson each time, but the instructor only ever concentrated on one child. he was not very proactive. it was extremely expensive and I feel probably not worth the money although overall the girls enjoyed it.

The family had separate lessons which were excellent , it would have been nice to have some photo's taken of the children during their lesson or even a DVD which other schools offer

Ski / Snowboard lessons in Val d'Isere

I had a fantastic experience with New Generation and particularly with my instructor, Rich, in 3 consecutive private lessons. I was a complete beginner at the beginning and after 3 lessons, was skiing down red slopes. He took the time to explain the physics of what he was teaching me so I actually understood why I was doing what I was doing. He was also incredibly patient and I felt like the lessons were completely tailored to my specific skills/mistakes I was making. I could not recommend this company more! I'll definitely be back next season!

Ski / Snowboard lessons in Val d'Isere

I had 2 children in the same class. A they have had the same amount of teaching previously). The lessons worked really well for the younger daughter who is very gutsy and likes speed but may not have listened to advice on how to improve technique. My older daughter is more nervous and did not like the fact that the group progression seemed to just move to faster and harder runs without technique being taught. I am not sure if this is the current method of teaching children but they have previously had lessons in Austria where a lot of time was spent with instruction and practising rather than following the instructor around the slopes. The result was that my younger daughter achieved level 6 and my older daughter achieved level 5 and now says she doesn't want to ski again. I hope we can regain her confidence in future and feel she would benefit from instruction so she has the tools to deal with trickier slopes. Currently I feel that the Austrian Ski Schule was better value for money as it was cheaper and the children had more instruction in technique. I would welcome your feedback. Thought Amigo was very nice and patient though and my younger daughter ( who didn't want to attend ski school) is now hooked.

Ski / Snowboard lessons in Val d'Isere

This was my son ollie's first time skiing. I booked him in to the wallabies group in val d'isere which was run by Chris. He had a fantastic time and could not wait for the next mornings session. By the 3rd day he was asking to ski down Black runs! Many thanks and appreciation to Chris for building ollie's confidence and making his first time skiing so much fun. I will definitely be booking New Generation for next years holiday.

Ski / Snowboard lessons in Val d'Isere

My husband, daughter and I all had private lessons which were great. I had Richard who was very patient and entertaining, Grace had Jas and Lynne who were both amazing and David had Xavier who he really liked and tested him to the limit.

The worst experience by far - and if I was to give a separate rating it would be bad, was the group lesson that I booked for M-F for myself, that I didn't end up going to after 2 sessions. The group started on the Sunday, which I was unaware of, so half the group were already ahead (and we were a beginners group) and on the second day there were 9 people in the group so it was hopeless for a beginner. I didn't enjoy it at all and decided to get a private instructor. I am just lucky that I could afford to do that - although I am annoyed that I wasted money on something that I didn't use. I feel really sorry for the people who couldn't afford to get private lessons.

Blair was an amazing coach to my 3 year old. Steff was also great for my nervous "new to snowboarding" wife. Top experience.

Prompt and efficient booking and mobilisation of instructors. Instructor was friendly and consise but most of all fun. He tailored my lesson to my exact needs asking key questions and getting underway quickly. New Gen has a very patient, professional and fun team of instructors. I look forward to going back to Val and the New Gen team in 2014!

Although you are quite pricey, I was really pleased with the quality of the instructors that Elizabeth (4) had. It was her first time skiing and she was in a class where some of the kids had already been skiing. Bella in particular raised her confidence to the point where she couldn't wait to go back at the end of the second day.

Doug was an excellent instructor. Did excatly what we wanted: an afternoon of piste skiing followed by an afternoon off-piste. We are both good skiers but needed some technical adjustments to get rid of old faults. His words of wisdom rang in my ears for the rest of the week! Many thanks

Our Instructor Alberto deserves a special mention. From the initial introduction he was very welcoming and proved to be a very good teacher in getting his message across. He very quickly become aware of the different skillsets within our group of 3 and adapted the lesson(s) accordingly. We will definitely make a special request for him next time.

I had 5 level 3 lessons with Ernesto and I thought he was brilliant! The lessons he gave we're the most fun ski lessons I have ever had. He understood the qualms of each member of the group and tailored his lessons to address them. I found
that he was understanding of the fears you have when learning to ski as an adult & never made me feel uncomfortable with anything that we did (unlike a previous experience with a terrifying Austrian instructor!). Personally I panic when the mountain is steep, but he gave us exercises and games that were such fun I was distracted and forgot to be worried! This has also meant that my skiing ability improved more than it ever has before and resulted in us finishing our last lesson with a complete red run and my confidence sky high!
Despite being in a level 3 group he covered some basics that I've never been told by other instructors before, and he even checked and adjusted bindings up the mountain!
I had lessons with New Generation 2 years ago and thought you were great then (which is why I became a repeat customer), this year has made me even more of a fan & I would always seek out New Generation if you continually offer such wonderful instructors.
