I booked the technical clinic lessons with Gareth and found them a great help in improving my skiing. I also had a free lesson earlier in the week, organised through the ski and snowboard magazine with Richard and that was very helpful too and gave me things to work on throughout the holiday. All in all for me it confirms why I will return to book lessons with new gen, thank you.
We had an very good experience with New Gen, just like last year. However, we were a bit concerned about the class sizes and the make-up of the classes – my class (level 3) was over the advertised maximum number of participants and also contained people from a wide range of abilities and with a surprisingly large range of experiences. My friends in level 5 had similar feedback.
Level 4 lesson, only 5 pupils, only 1 of whom could ski to level 4. This was not the fault of the instructor though and the lessons were excellent in spite of the varied levels involved.
Two very nervous skiers in our party were looked after brilliantly and given enormous confidence by Steve - thank you so much for making their holiday!
After many skiing holidays this was the first time my 12 year old daughter who is a nervous skier has ever enjoyed ski school. The small English spoken group worked well. Vanessa the instructor was absolutely excellent: fun, technically immaculate and an ultimate teaching professional - just lovely with the kids. My daughter really trusted Vanessa and as a result her skiing came on in incredibly the 5 sessions she had. So, much so, that on the last day of our holiday we were able to gently ski the 3 Vallies as a family - what a special day we all had and what an achievement for my daughter. Thanks Vanessa - New Gen. ... we will be back!
As we also found last year, excellent service, very accommodating team, the ski instructors wonderful with children, encouraging and fun getting amazing results for our five year old.

Due to a problem with my leg I was unable to partake in the lessons that I had booked. The staff in the office at Courchevel 1650 were very helpful and tried to accommodate me in another group on the second day. Sadly, my leg problem continued and so I had to resign myself to not being able to ski for the week. The office staff provided me with a letter that I could use to claim from my travel insurers as they do not offer direct refunds in such circumstances. Others in my group said that the instructors were helpful and helped them accomplish their objectives during the week.
Excellent experience - barely knew how to get down the kiddie slope on day 1 of the Adult Group lesson and by day 5, we were flying down blue runs and half red runs. Lewis was an exceptional teacher - great fun, professional and a competent instructor. I would definitely reccomend New Gen over any other ski school in Courchevel.
The instructors were very friendly and helpful
Steve ran a family session for the 4 of us during the week (2 adults, 2 kids). None of us had been skiing before and he did a great job pitching the sessions at just the right level and tailored to our individual abilities, so we all made really good progress and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. His helpful and friendly style put us at ease and even my wife who was a nervous wreck at the start of the week was learning with confidence at the end! Would throughly recommend New Generation.
We thought Dave our instructor was great and provided us with the confidence we needed and achieved exactly what we asked of him.
This is the second time my daughter and I have used New Gen in Courchevel 1650. I highly recommend them.
I have used New Generation on several occasions and have always found the instruction of the highest standard. Will definitely use them again next year.

Excellent child friendly instructors kids loved their lessons will use New Gen where ever we can.
This is our second year with New Gen and again I thought the teaching was excellent. Our two boys (aged 8 and 10) have come on amazingly and the 4 hours each morning was exactly what they needed to bring them on. We have booked again already for Courchevel 1650 in 2014 and will be using New Gen again. If I had a criticism it would be the cost of the one on one lessons which I feel are steep.08-Apr-2013Very good.
Small numbers inthe class meant the instructor was able to give me more one to one feedback on my progress and individual instruction. I felt cinfident at being able to trust my instructor to move me forward at the right pace knowing my safety was his number one priority as well as supporting my next steps My instructor was polite, friendly and encouraging I was able to achieve what I set out to with his support and I would definitely book more lessons with new generation again I would recommend new generation to anybody who was going to embark on their first skiing holiday. Thank you for making my experience a fun, exciting and successful one.
Very good for adult beginners and a good variety of options for kids at all levels of ability
We have used New Generation for 4 or 5 years now and this year they were as superb as ever thanks to great instruction from Barbara, Gareth and for snowboarding Stevie.
2nd year running using these guys and they were excellent again. Sam was brilliant with my little boy. We saw them on the slopes a few times & were impressed. After a bad experience with another Ski school a few months ago in la Plagne we were glad to be back to Courcheval to use New Gen again. Our only wish is that New Gen start on the slopes of La Plagne soon, they need them there. Will certainly be using them again.
We actually wanted to go to val Thorens this year but we choose the location of 1650 purely because of our positive experience with New generation last year, and again both of our kids (a 7 year old in Arrows and a 9 year old in rockets) had the time of their lives. Thank you all and especially Dave & Lewis.
We have used New Gen many times
We had such a good experience learning to snowboard with Iain from New Generation, Courchevel 1650. We both ended up being able to traverse tricky flat spots, travel on heel and toe edge, make turns down the mountain and complete whole runs by the last day (at a beginner level of course!). Iain said that making progress tends to be down to hard work, but for us, I would suggest that his excellent teaching was the magic ingredient. High 5 Iain and New Generation!
