I bought this cultivator to replace a broken Ryobi (engine-on-a-stick) cultivator, rather than replace the Ryobi. The Ryobi was forever jamming with small stones- hence the stripped gearbox, and was quite heavy on the back to use. The Sherpa by contrast is infinitely better. It manages small stones easily without a problem, produces a fine tilth down to 6-8 inches depth and is generally an easy and rewarding tool to use. Also easy to hose down the dirty bits after use.
Being electric it has minor drawbacks- constant care as to where the cable is, and caution of overheating the motor. I have pushed it fairly hard and have had no indication of overheating yet - 1st season now over.
Would I recommend it- certainly, would I buy again- certainly.
Excellent value cultivator. David, Bolton, Lancs
