Product rating : This property is vulnerable for flooding should it it rain. Thanks to the land lady who was kind to sort the things out on time. 05-May-2013 I am disappointed with the reply again. I clearly said that the card that I used to pay is a debit card to the gentleman who took the payment but recorded as a credit card. After all we are human beings and tend to get things wrong sometimes. Subsequently I spoke to a lady in the office over the phone that it was a debit card. She said she will investigate and get back to me but never did. I am not bothered about few quids but the honesty and integrity and attitude of the staff in the office. I can prove that I paid using my debit card by sending a copy of my bank statement. But don't want to do that as I have lost trust with them. Instead of blaming me back again with incorrectly recorded information, I would have appreciated if they had checked with their bank to verify my claim. I will not recommend them to anyone. We have looked into the issue you have raised with your payment, our records clearly show that you have used a credit card to pay for your booking, there is a charge for all credit card payments which customers are informed of at the time of booking. Payments made using a debit card do not incur any charges and had you chosen this method of payment a surcharge would not have been payable. Unfortunately there was a flood at the cottage during your stay this was reported by yourselves, the owner attended the property immediately and rectified the problem to your satisfaction, this was the first flood at the cottage and there have not been any more since the problem was rectified. Same old issues with parking in Keswick; the one included parking permit was for public car park 5-10mins walk away at bottom of town. We were disappointed with the standard of the property and haven't used the company since, instead using Keswick Cottages. 05-May-2013 Service rating : Many thanks for your response. However, the customer should never have to contact the company to tell them that the cottage is not clean, the company should ensure that all properties are clean before the customer arrives. If they do then there is obviously an issue with the company. Standards must be maintained at all times. I have never had that issue with any of the many cottages that I have booked through Keswick Cottages or with other properties around the country.
