Service rating : Service was as we had expected,very good and positive.
Product rating : The staff were very friendly.Food was varied and of a good standard.We feel the beds would be better to have duvets rather than blankets,with also better quality pillows.Service was at a high standard.

Product rating : Cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough, the room was well equipt and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. Service rating : Very good, kept me informed of BA's two return flight changes, very helpful.
Product rating : I've stayed at the Norfolk Hotel twice now and cannot recommend them highly enough. The hotel itself is well appointed, of excellent quality and the food is great. The staff is absolutely fantastic; friendly, helpful and a real pleasure to know! Nothing is too much trouble (even fixing broken boots!), you can't say that of many hotels. I'll be defintely be back again next year.

A big thank you to all the staff for making my stay there a fabulous experience.

Product rating : The stay at the hotel and staff was really nice. unfortunately on the sat night we eat at the Bohemian restaurant at the hotel the meal and service was nice at the time but unfortunately a couple of hrs later I was being violently sick with food poisoning and all through the night which put a dampner to our plans for the sunday and when my fiancée told the people on the hotel reception they were not very interested but the hotel itself is very nice.

Product rating : The accomodation was adequate, clean and comfortable and represented value for money. Meals were really quite good, nothing was too much trouble for staff or our hosts. All in all they made the stay enjoyable.

Service rating : we were not informed of a Northern Soul long weekend would be taking place. we found the loud noise from the music being played until 2am in the morning very unaceptable and then the people going to their rooms after the music shouting and banging until 4am. we took no sleep at all
Product rating : our room was very smelly and we were both very ill the second week, i caught intertrigo which is very contagious, i am having medical treatment at the moment and we are far from being well, i think this was down to the hotel room.Jersey and the Mayfair was a bad experience and I would not recomend it at all. I feel we deserve compensation

I am sorry to hear of your disappointment with your stay at the Mayfair Hotel. We have no record of being contacted by you while you were in resort which would have enabled us to investigate and hopefully rectify your complaints. I have spoken to the management and I have added their response for your attention as below:



I have now conducted a full investigation into the feedback from our clients and, before commenting further, I would like to sincerely apologise that they were dissatisfied with certain aspects of their stay.

It is our policy to advise all our tour operators of any special events taking place in the hotel. If this did not occur in this instance, I can only apologise and we will make every endeavour to ensure this does not happen again.

The clients arrived on 12th February. They were originally allocated a suite but decided that they could not walk up the stairs. Therefore, the Receptionist moved them to Rooms 309 & 311 on a higher floor in an attempt to keep them clear of any potential noise.

Unfortunately, due to the high occupancy in the hotel at this time, we also had to allocate some rooms on that floor to people attending the Soul Weekend. On the morning of 16th February the client did make a complaint to Reception about the noise from other guests in the corridor and he again approached Katie on 18th February to complain that nothing had been done. Katie did offer a room move but the clients declined this, as they were aware that a netball party of school girls was arriving on 22nd February and was concerned they would have the same problem again. No netball rooms were allocated on the 309/311 corridor. Katie then arranged for a complimentary bottle of wine for the clients with our compliments.

At no time was any complaint made to Management and there was certainly no mention that the room was "smelly". Our records show that the rooms were serviced every day and the sheets & towels changed regularly accordingly. Mr Webb, Hotel Manager, has inspected the rooms and found them to be spotless.

As regards the allegations about intertrigo, our research shows that this is not contagious but an inflammatory skin condition caused by heat and moisture.

In closing, I would once again apologise that these clients were not aware of the Soul Event which took place over one weekend of their fourteen night stay. However, I believe that accommodation was provided as per our contractual obligations and I do not believe any compensation is due in this instance.

We booked through Jersey Travel and their service in obtaining our requirements of a Christmas package was excellent and everything went well on the 4 nights spent in the Monterey Hotel in St. Saviour Road, St. Helier. The hotel was excellent, the staff were very helpful and polite and the service all round was very good. We would certainly go back to Jersey again.

Product rating : After a particularly bad crossising on the Condor it was very pleasing to arrive at the Shakespear Hotel. The staff were very friendly and efficient,The food was excellent.
Although the Hotel is some distance from the main town the free minibus provided by the owner was very welcome.
