Silkwood Double

Service rating : Overall good experience with staff very helpful.
Product rating : Lovely room and very quiet. Found bathroom a little quirky - the hot tap on the basin seemed to turn the wrong way on/off. Also bathroom fan very sensitive - it would activate when someone came in the door downstairs!

Twin Room

Service rating : Lovely food and very helpful and obliging staff - we didn't meet one member of staff who failed to give us a smile!
Product rating : The first room we were offered was gloomy but we were immediately offered an alternative room in the main building - much better!

Double Room

All staff were very helpful, but particularly Anete in the restaurant, and the receptionist whose name I've forgotten but begins with 'M'. If I had a slight criticism it would be the music during breakfast, really not necessary.

Single Room

Service rating : Food was good in the restaurant and the bar.
Product rating : Although comfortable I found the room quite noisy being at the front of the hotel which is on the busy main road. Had to have the window open as the room was too warm for me so that increased the noise. Would not like to be in this room in warmer weather. It was small and compact but everything was there that I needed. Good towels

Service rating : I've stayed at 5 other hotels in the chain, but this was my worst experience.

Had to wait 1h 15m to be seated at dinner, and overall value not as good as 2-3 years ago. Is likely to be my last visit to the chain.
Product rating : Lots of wind noise (from the chimney?)

Service rating : The service was very good - the staff are obviously well trained and seem happy in their work. we were particularly impressed with Lenka who served us in the dining room. It was such a refreshing change to be attended to by someone with such a pleasant disposition, She is an asset to the hotel.
Product rating : The room was a smaller than what we usually have but very clean with a comfortable bed and very nice toiletries

Service rating : We were disappointed with a few things. One of our main courses, cod, was very salty. One of our cups was cracked at breakfast,and we were told that there wasn't any porridge! We didn't have the turn down service.

Service rating : Restaurant and food delicious and extremely well presented.
Product rating : The room was lovely. Bed very comfortable and decor delightful. Bathroom excellent if on the small side. Lovely Molton Brown bath products to use. Only problem was outside, with moving of dumpsters at 10.30 pm, and a noisy reversing delivery lorry at 5.30 am. Otherwise an excellent stay

Service rating : I love staying at this hotel - it has large,comfortable, warm, sitting areas overlooking the well kept garden and the staff are always at hand to help.
Product rating : I was given a room upgrade which i really appreciated as I know that the hotel was busy with a wedding, so I had a large airy room pleasantly decorated with a large comfortable bed, Bliss....
