Hehehe - It's magnetic magic - very powerful magnets can pinch skin when being attracted - not a good idea for small fingers on kids.

The inverter magnet was only briefly entertaining without additional equipment (iron filings or something).But it works exactly as advertised, and I am happy.

I had trouble getting my inverter magnet to work and I was very surprised and delighted to find that Hendrik Ball responded to me personally when I sent a query about my problem. He patiently zeroed in on the solution (move away from radiant floor heat pipes and then metal connecting my table leaves, etc). Thank you!
A great item, but one of the magnetics broke on day 1.
the product doesnt work a it should. I bought it to amaze my daughter but cant let her use it as it is too dangerous. It is very difficult to keep the magnets the right distance from each other, the smaller magnet jumps onto the larger one and hurts when it catches your hand. I'd like to return it actually as its a bit of a let down.

This was very disappointing. The video shows an impressive gap between the magnets, the instructions say 4 - 7 mm, with mine it was only 2 -3 mm. In one of the six stable positions it was impossible to stop the test magnet jumping onto the top of the other magnet. Please see my response below.Product rating : For this device to work there must be the correct balance of strength between the central magnet and the six peripheral magnets. In my case I suspect that the peripheral magnets are weaker than optimum. That there is a variation in strength of these magnets is demonstrated by the fact that in only one of the six stable positions would the test magnet jump. I know that these kind of magnets can be weakened by heat, for example. You say that shipped magnets are identical to the ones demonstrated. Do you test the strength of the shipped magnets? To what accuracy?
