As amazing as ever! “Grand Illusions” is the shop to check for amazing, interesting things you cannot find somewhere else. I discovered “Grand Illusions” a couple of years ago on the search for a Han dynasty compass and ever since I am checking regular for new and wonderful things.
It is a little harder than it looks in the video to get it to work but it is a very impressive demonstration - pleased!
managed to break it on first try... use of a hacksaw trimmed broken edge and got it going again. Slightly wary of letting others use it because of safety risk
The Hyman Fire Piston is a very simple experiment but a big help for explaning ideas of heat
Broke the glass under the pressure
A great product. Had a little trouble using at first but got in contact with manufacturer and received prompt response. No problems now.
Have tried once, but never got it to work. Will have to spend more time on it to get a decent rating.
