REALLY complex ;]... I bought it as a project to do with my (6-year-old) son, but it ended up being a project for him to watch me do instead ;]
The model is a very challenging build. The directions are good but have few drawings and require much creative thinking and accurate reading to get it all built and working correctly. The quality of the paper is quite good and very well printed. The further along I get the better I understand the instructions but along the way I've made a couple of almost un-reversable mistakes because of not at first fully understanding what the author of the instructions was trying to tell me to do. The instructions need many many more illustrations like the few high quality ones already provided. It is amazing what can accoumplished with paper and cardboard. Get the proper glue and paint everything as suggested to get it to look as good as possible. Buy some gold paint for touch-up of the few places that may get damaged during construction. Be sure to file off all of the bumps on the cardboard parts to get things to run smothly and fit well. This is not a model for an inexperienced model builder and certintly not for a child or even a youth to build. It requires a high degree of carefull construction and following of instructions. I'm still not done with it and so far I've spent over 30 hours working on building it. I sure hope it works when I get it done.

Would be helpful if the parts were labelled in English as well as German. Other than that it is a good product.

Products are mostly good quality but quite expensive, delivery was swift but also quite expensive.
ALTHOUGH STILL AT AN EARLY STAGE IN BUILDING THE ORRERY THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE CLEAR AND WELL LAID OUT. A VERY GOOD MODEL.
This is quite a demanding kit to build - but very satisfying when it works!
Product is "flawed by design". I'm not the most perfect hobbyist, but making a mechanical piece made of paper and carton is just.... a bad idea. Some pieces just were not strong enough to withstand manipulation, when not done in a perfect manner the first try. I'm now left with an orrery without earth axis rotation (carton tube disintegrated when trying to mount), and which does not function well (discs not perfectly aligned, even when trying the best I could to make sure all was perfectly mounted). Sigh.

Amazing cardboard design kit.
But a temporary eye problem has delayed completion of a very intricate assembly task and as you get no confirmation that you've done it right until the last piece is assembled - high anxiety! It is beautiful though - that at least shows from the moment you start on the kit.
