Service rating : I have dealt with this company for years and never had a problem of any kind with them or their products or service.Product rating : As usual, these cards were exactly as advertised, although they were a little harder to see and read the backs than the first such deck I ordered a couple years or so ago. But with practice they can be read.

Service rating : Never before have I called a company who, as I recall, weren't sure how to get their own product to work. Getting the temperature right takes, in my experience, a lot of expensive specialist equipment and I am still yet to see that it works.Product rating : I am still yet to see even the slightest evidence that this is not all just a big con. A product that hasn't yet shown any of its qualities unless treated in a ways that even the company seem unsure of. If my trial an error (with the help of a friend in engineering, no less) isn't positive soon I will be ready to submit a sample to consumer rights.21-May-2013Service rating : I stand by my feedback and will not be removing it and I offer no permission to remove if, if permission is required and I am dissatisfied with the company's attitude for the following reasons, among others. (a) I do not wish to return the item for a refund without taking other steps. I wish for the item to work or be examined by a third party. A refund wouldn't necessarily solve the problem, it would simply make it another customer's problem. (b) The fact that the company that makes other nitinol products sells the wire is no proof of its authenticity and claiming that it does is, as far as I can see, nonsense. To sell a cheaper knock off that would be hard to test would be a very practical con in which a company could make and save money at the same time. However I'm not now, nor have I said that it is a con. I am, however, as aforementioned (i) suspicious (ii) running tests (iii) of the belief that some other customer will only have the same frustrations if I agree to withdraw my complain in exchange for a refund. (c) I do not agree with the use of the word "tricky". As far as I can see this is no more "tricky" than sending an email with your brain is "tricky". A more accurate word, in my opinion, would be "impossible" as in "impossible without specialist equipment". You can't send an email without some sort of computer and, as far as I am aware, you cannot achieve the temperatures necessary for nitinol without specialist equipment i.e. a kiln, blowtorch or unusually powerful oven, the cheapest of which that I could find, a blow torch, has set me back another £20. I am experimenting with the blowtorch and am yet to be successful. Admittedly, the temperatures are stated prior to purchase and I'm not claiming, now or ever, to have been cheated by this company. However between a phone call in which, as far as I can remember, no advice could be offered as to how set the shape, what, as far as I can see, is a complete and repeating misuse of the word "tricky," failure, as far as I can remember, to mention that achieving these temperatures is actually impossible without specialist equipment (or demonstrate to me how I am mistaken) and an attitude that, as far as I can see, seems to think everything is alright if (a) a refund is offered (b) reassurance of authenticity is given that is, as far as I can see, less evidential more a mere contradiction, my opinion of Grand Illusions is that it's customer services achieves less than it leaves to be desired.Product rating : I am yet to be able to get this item to do what I want it to do or test it to a point wherein I can be positive that it is what it claims to be.

No problems.Product rating : If it's not on glass specifically it takes some trial and error to find the perfect spot for it to spin, but once you do it can go for quite a while. Very well balanced. Despite the price, my friend loves it and that's the important bit.

Should be some documentation to accompany all you r products. These are often used for demo gear and by many different people over a period of time so not everyone is aware of where they were sourced or of your website and videos etc

Service rating : I don't know about the company. This is the 1st time purchasing from them.Product rating : I guess I didn't read the description very clearly. I didn't realize I was buying a full blown kit and not only a kit, but one with an absurd amount of steps. I figured there might be some assembly but not every single aspect. I'm surprised I don't have to melt sand to make glass for the mirrors. In one of the steps, you actually have to create a honey comb structure piece by piece to create what is ultimately, just a piece of cardboard. Save yourself some money and just google 'make a pseudoscope' and you will find free plans to make one for $10 of materials with a lot less hassle. I don't believe it's worth the extra money to have a fancy steampunk looking cardboard version when I can make a more sturdy and simpler one out of a couple pieces of wood and some mirrors.
