Unfortunately the squirrels got at this within a day and nibbled the bracket away, possibly in frustration that they couldn't get to the food, so we had to screw it on to a baton.
Not keen on cutting a hole in the cage but have fixed it nice and securely from the inside!
now the feed is off the ground it makes it so much easier to keep clean.

This is my second purchase of a Bec Wise feeder. We have no spillages from either the bantam run or the big hens run. With a bit of ingenuity (and a couple of bits of small wood) you can use the bracket to attach the feeder to the run wire.

Good to put out a lot of feed - stil not sure how my chickens are getting feed all over the floor though!
This is a REALLY good product. We have no spillage at all from the feeder and I think their claim of 40% saving on feed is probably accurate. We are not using it to its full potential as we haven't cut a hole in our run but have nevertheless attached it to the wire using the bracket and a piece of wood on the other outside of the run. It didn't take long to do it this way and looks really good. I think with a little bit of imagination the manufacturer could improve on the fitting of this product on to hen run mesh for the back garden chicken keeper and it would sell lots more of this feeder.
More 'spillage' than I expected but maybe that will improve when they shed their bad habits?
Sadly, some of the screws where missing but I was able to assemble using some I had,

This is a new design, feeder, works fantastically !!
Delighted with this feeder, no more messy and wasted pellets! Fitted to the side of the run easily and once we had adjusted the flow of the pellets correctly, the chickens were soon happily feeding out of it. At last, a feeder which is properly rain proof!

This is an excellent feeder as long as you keep it dry. We attached it to the side mesh of the run with its rain cover but when it did rain the water dripped between the main body of the feeder and the rain cover down into the pellets causing a claggy mess. Had to use a non-toxic mastic to seal the gap (the screws were tight). This stopped the water getting in from that area but then we found that as rain water runs down the feeder body and drips underneath it soaks up through the dust holes in the base causing the same problem and cleaning the feeder out properly means taking it apart as there are lots of nooks and crannies where the soggy pellets can't be reached. I've now put the feeder under cover in the run where the rain can't get to it. The chickens use it quite happily.
