The shears are good and efficient, but the index finger has to hold the trigger in the whole time that the shears are in use. I found that it hurt my finger. I realize why there is not a button to hold the trigger in the "On" position - that will be for safety reasons, so I have had to rig up my own device, with a rubber band.
